Jazz At Wolfson Presents Organist Akiko Tsuruga

Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. 2nd Ave., will present organist Akiko Tsuruga on Nov. 13 at noon in Room 1261. 

Tsuruga will perform jazz compositions from her album, Sweet and Funky, using a Hammond organ. 

She has played with the likes of jazz musicians such as Frank Wess, Jimmy Cobb and Grady Tate. She studied jazz music at the Osaka College of Music in Japan and developed a passion for music at age three through the Yamaha Music Foundation

Her performance is part of Jazz At Wolfson Presents, an ongoing music series that welcomes a diverse range of jazz musicians to perform at Miami Dade College. 

The event is free and open to the public.
