Jazz At Wolfson To Feature Bobby Floyd

Renowned pianist and organist Bobby Floyd will be the next guest at the Jazz at Wolfson Presents series on Jan. 18 at noon at Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. Second Ave. Room 1261.

The event will also be broadcast on Miami Dade College’s Livestream website. 

Floyd, a Grammy nominee and Emmy Award winner, has collaborated with prestigious orchestras such as the Columbus Jazz Orchestra, Boston Pops, Rochester Philharmonic and Detroit Symphony

He has also taught music at Otterbein University, Ohio State University and the Jamey Aebersold Summer Jazz Workshops. 

Jazz at Wolfson Presents is a year-long series by Miami Dade College featuring a wide-array of jazz performers. 

The performances are free and open to the public.

Veronica Romano, 18, is a mass communication/journalism major at Wolfson Campus. Romano, who graduated from Miami Beach Senior High School in 2021, will serve as briefing writer for The Reporter during the 2022-2023 school year. She aspires to work in the media industry.
