Koubek Center Presents Apuntes Americanos—Kanay By NWSA Alumnae Roxana Barba

Roxana Barba, a New World School of the Arts alumnae, will present Apuntes Americanos- Kanay (American Notes-Kanay), a performance depicting the consequences of the French archaeological excavation of Peru during the 19th century, on Oct. 27 and Oct. 28 at 8 p.m. at the Koubek Center Theater, 2705 S.W. 3rd St.

Choreographed, written and directed by the Peruvian-born, Miami-based artist, the show will feature four performers on stage, including Barba, implementing dance, acting and videos featuring narrations in Quechua and words and texts in French.

Tickets will be available at the door and online for $15. The event is open to the public and offers free parking.
