Koubek Center To Live-Stream Stage Reading Of Pareja Abierta

The Koubek Center will live-stream a Spanish stage reading of the play Pareja Abierta on Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. on Facebook and Instagram.

The play—an adaptation of Dario Fo and Franca Rame’s original production—tells the story of a liberal couple with an open relationship, where the man is the only one enjoying his freedom.

“I think that the situation the characters are in is really funny,” said actor Andy Barbosa, who plays the boyfriend. “They make the audience have a fun time and reflect on the challenges that modern society has put on our backs.”

Director Marilyn Romero recommends that only those over the age of 18 watch the production.
