Mas Family Scholarships Accepting Applications

Applications for the Mas Family Scholarships are open until Jan. 31.

The scholarship, which awards up to $8,000 annually, aims to support the educational development of young Cuban Americans. It recognizes academic excellence, leadership and commitment to serve.

Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an accredited institution for the 2026-27 academic year, have a minimum 3.5 GPA and demonstrate community involvement. Awards depend on each students’ financial need.

The application requires proof of Cuban descent, a personal statement, a resume, an essay, academic transcripts and test scores.

Students must also provide three completed recommendation forms by Feb. 8 and a copy of the submission summary from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or the College Scholarship Service Profile.

Recipients will be announced in April.
