MDC And Collins Aerospace Partner For Machine Operator Apprenticeship

In partnership with Collins Aerospace, Miami Dade College inaugurated a paid Machine Operator Registered Apprenticeship program during this fall.

The one-year program offers hands-on training in machine setup, maintenance, operation and safety procedures. Apprentices will earn $18 per hour, free tuition, supplies and mentorship from experienced machinists.

Upon completion, participants receive an apprenticeship certificate, better positioning them for careers in the highly-demanding field of aerospace manufacturing.

The College continues to expand its apprentice opportunities across different industries, seeking to address workforce needs for students and faculty alike.
