MDC MOAD To Host Follow The Carbon: Climate Change, Housing Struggles, And The Reinvention Of The Built Environment

Miami Dade College’s Museum of Art and Design will host Follow the Carbon: Climate Change, Housing Struggles, and the Reinvention of the Built Environment with Daniel Aldana Cohen on Sept. 12 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the museum’s Citizen Design Lab on the second floor of the Freedom Tower, 600 Biscayne Blvd.

Cohen is an assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Cohen will speak about how cities can tackle climate change issues, inequality and how affordable housing and effective climate policies are intertwined.

The Citizen Design Lab is part of the museum’s design exhibit, By the People: Designing a Better America. The lab allows visitors to provide feedback and provide design ideas to help their community.
