MDC Phi Beta Lambda Students Achieve Top Honors

Miami Dade College Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) students received top awards during a recent national leadership conference in Tennessee.

The team placed in 12 categories including two first-place finishes (Integrated Marketing Shanna Knowles, Claudia Romero, Melanie Velasquez and Small Business Management Iris Lopez, Yheinny Santana, Brandon Silva).

PBL competed with more than 1,800 other college students from various schools around the country.

Events were focused around students showcasing their talents as future business leaders, pushing participants to sharpen their core business skills, and expand their networks.

The awards were part of a comprehensive national competitive event program that rewards excellence in a wide range of business and career-related areas.

Miami Dade College has consistently placed among the top schools in the nation, this year being no exception with 27 of its students bringing home prizes including first place finishes in Integrated Marketing Campaign and Small Business Management.
