MDC Students To Compete For AAPA National Championship

Miami Dade College physician students will compete at the American Academy of Physician Assistants National Medical Challenge Bowl on May 21 in New Orleans.

Francisco Gil, Michael Conception and Alexandrea Weeks, along with MDC professor Nicolas Massimini, who serves as the team’s coach, will compete. The team won the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants Challenge Bowl on Feb. 24 in Orlando.

The Challenge Bowl is a jeopardy-style national competition for physician assistant students held every May at the AAPA Annual Conference.

“The students are proud to represent MDC,” said Jaclyn Churchill, physician assistant program director at the College.
