MDC To Hold Virtual Financial Literacy Workshop Series

The Young Women’s Christian Association, a South Florida-based non-profit organization that advocates for equity amongst women, is hosting four financial literacy workshops—Your Financial Literacy Journey Workshop Series—at Miami Dade College via Zoom starting on Sept. 20 from noon to 1 p.m.

Future sessions will be held on Sept. 27, Oct. 4 and Oct. 11.

Topics covered include setting financial goals, budgeting, understanding credit score and reports and homeownership.

Nikole Valiente

Nikole Valiente, 21, is a mass communication/journalism major at North Campus. Valiente, who graduated from City of Hialeah Educational Academy in 2022, will serve as managing editor for The Reporter during the 2024-25 school year.
