MDC-WEST Hosts Art Friday For Hispanic Heritage Month

Every Friday in October, Miami Dade College’s West Campus will host Free Art Friday for Hispanic Heritage month.

The showcase will include up to 54 pieces donated by local street artists and photographers. During the event, artwork will be placed throughout different parts of the campus. Students can use the hashtag #MDCWFAF to post on social media when they find a piece.

Free Art Friday was started a few years ago by a local Miami artist who left free pieces of artwork in random locations throughout Miami. People started finding his stuff and created a group so artists could leave clues to find free pieces for anyone to grab and take pictures of where they found the artwork.

The event is free and open to the public.
