Miami Fashion Institute Student Selected As Gucci North America Changemaker Scholarship Recipient

Beatrice Alisme, a student at Miami Dade College’s Miami Fashion Institute, has been selected as a recipient of the Gucci North America Changemakers Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded to 22 students out of a pool of 450 applicants within the North America Region. It aims to promote and finance opportunities for diverse fashion students at colleges and universities.

In addition to the scholarship, recipients will receive mentorship and participate in a virtual internship that will allow them to learn about how the fashion industry and networking play a role in Gucci America.

“I gained a mentor who’s actually a visual merchandiser within Gucci,” Alisme said. “I definitely know I’ll gain experiences in networking and conversing with people who are currently in the fashion industry.”
