MTV Campus Challenge Democracy Fellow Positions Available

Applications to become an MTV Campus Challenge Democracy Fellow are open.

Two fellowship positions will be offered per campus. There are no academic or citizenship requirements to apply.

Fellows are expected to work 10 hours a week in assisting Miami Dade College with voter engagement. They will receive a stipend of up to $1,250 this summer.

Selected students will receive training and support from the Institute for Civic Engagement & Democracy, MTV and Campus Vote Project to become experts on nonpartisan voter engagement at their college campus.

They will also work with their campus’ iCED and student life offices to organize voter registration drives, deliver class presentations and help develop and implement a voter engagement plan.

“This opportunity is life changing. Selected students will learn that their voice matters and that when MDC students don’t register and vote, their voices aren’t heard,” said Josh Young, the campus wide director of iCED.

Applications are available here. For more information, contact your campus’ iCED office.
