NBC 6 Morning News Anchor Constance Jones To Appear At MDC Journalism Speaker Series

Constance Jones, a morning news anchor at NBC 6, will be the first guest of the 2026 MDC Journalism Speaker Series on Feb. 27.

The event will take place at 12:30 p.m. at North Campus, 11380 N.W. 27th Ave., in Room 4209.

Jones is a two-time Emmy nominated journalist who has worked in New York City, Atlanta, Virginia, Oklahoma City and at WLRN Public Radio in South Florida. She is a graduate of Sam Houston State University.

The MDC Journalism Speaker Series was launched in 2008 to provide students an opportunity to meet and network with working journalists. Since its genesis, more than 87 journalists have been featured.

Yazid Guelida, 20, is a mass communication/journalism major at Wolfson Campus. Guelida, who graduated from Doctors Charter School of Miami Shores in 2024, will serve as editor-in-chief for The Reporter during the 2025-2026 school year. He aspires to be an investigative journalist.
