New Access Director At North Campus

Andrea Plunkett is the new Director of Access Services at North Campus. 

Plunkett started her new position on Nov. 3.

For the past four years, she worked as a program development specialist at the University of the Virgin Islands Center for Developmental Disabilities. She previously served as assistant director for the New York City College of Technology’s Student Support Services Program.

Before that, she served as a counselor for students with disabilities at schools and health facilities in Hawaii and New York.  

Plunkett, received her Bachelors degree in Sociology from Quinnipiac College and a Masters degree in social work from Columbia University.

In her new position, Plunkett would like to ensure that all students with and without disabilities have access to programs.

She plans to “remove barriers, provide more information for one another and to address the needs of everyone.”
