New Dean Of Student Services At West Campus

Andrew Carbon began his new position as dean of student services at West Campus on March 30.  

As the new dean of student services, he is responsible for managing enrollment, orientation, registration, testing, academic advisement and admissions.

“I look forward to continuing to promote the holistic development of our students, students’ retention and completion, and student success as a whole,” Carbon said. “I also bring a passion for promoting employee morale and development.”

Carbon most recently served as interim director of admissions and registration at North Campus

He has worked at the College for 17 years in several capacities, including director of advisement and career services and director of admissions and registration. 

After graduating from Miami Dade College, Carbon received a double bachelor’s degree in international business and management and master’s degree in human resources management, both from Florida International University. He later earned a doctorate in educational learning and management from Capella University.
