New World School of the Arts music faculty members will host a music concert on Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Miami, 609 Brickell Ave.

The event is part of a yearly NWSA music department faculty performance. Students and members of the community will be able to enjoy performances from talented music teachers collaborating and showcasing different musical collections.

“Faculty concerts are so important because they are designed to showcase the faculty’s talents in a different way from the classroom,” said dean of music at NWSA, Daniel Andai. “They can perform for a wider audience to capture a wonderful sense of community, with the goal to celebrate beautiful music.”

Performers include violinist Richard Fleischman, playing the viola, and a piano performance by Ciro Fodere.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information call 305-237-3622.
