Taniesha Wright was selected as the interim Honors College Director at North Campus on Feb. 13.

Wright will assist Honors College students with enrollment and advisement.

“I don’t take this position lightly,” Wright said. “I take it with responsibility knowing that this is a very important role.”

For the past two and a half years, Wright served as assistant dean of students at North Campus, assisting students with advisement and referring them to support programs like ACCESS and Single Stop.

The 40-year-old joined Miami Dade College in 2012 as a Single Stop program coordinator, serving in that capacity for eight years. Before that, she worked as an academic advisor at Florida State University from 2008 to 2012.
