North Campus Appoints New Director Of Advisement And Career Services

Alexandra Page was appointed as the new director of advisement and career services at North Campus. She started in her new role on Jan. 12. 

“I hope to make an impact for students by enhancing their success and ensuring they reach their fullest potential,” Page said.

Her responsibilities include developing, implementing and evaluating programs and services for the department, as well as overseeing student support for academic and career advisement.

The 32-year-old began at Miami Dade College four years ago as an academic and career advisor from 2021 to 2022. Most recently, she served as a student success advisor at the from 2022 to 2025.

Page graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature in 2013. She earned  an educational specialist degree in teaching and learning and a doctorate of philosophy both from Florida International University in 2024.

Miranda Figueroa, 18, is a mass communication/journalism major at Kendall Campus. Figueroa, who graduated from J. C Bermudez Doral Senior High School in 2025, will serve as a briefing writer for The Reporter during the 2026-2027 school year. She aspires to be a sports journalist.
