North Campus Students Awarded Full Scholarships To Tuskegee University

Three students at North Campus won the 2019 Tuskegee Distinguished Presidential Scholarship Award.

The 2019 scholarship winners are architecture students Roodza Pierrelus and Kherby Jean and computer engineering student Tyree Thomas. They will transfer to Tuskegee University on a full-ride scholarship that includes tuition, room, board as well as an $800 textbook voucher.

Pierrelus and Jean hope to use the scholarship to better the lives of people in Haiti. Thomas, born and raised in Florida, aspires to become an entrepreneur.

Tuskegee University, a private, historically black university in Tuskegee, Alabama, awards the  Tuskegee Distinguished Presidential Scholarship Award to three Miami Dade College students every year through an articulation agreement.  

To be eligible, students must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and associate in arts degree from MDC. The deadline to apply is Oct 9.
