NWSA To Showcase Annual Rising Stars Performance

The New World School of the Arts is hosting their annual Rising Stars Performance on March 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ziff Ballet Opera House at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, 1300 Biscayne Blvd.

It will feature two hundred high school and college students across all departments of the school.

The theater division will perform selected scenes from the plays Kodachrome and Chicago. The music department will play excerpts from Johann Strauss’s Die Fledermaus and Diminuendo and Duke Ellington’s Crescendo in Blue. The dance division will perform excerpts from Paul Taylor’s Esplanade and Robert Garland’s Joplin Dances, among others.

“Rising Stars is the opportunity to see the stars of tomorrow right here in Miami,” said Jeffrey Hodgson, chief executive officer and provost of NWSA.

General admission tickets for the performance are $35.
