Miami Dade College’s Interamerican Campus, 627 S.W. 27 Ave., will host an open mic night on Nov. 18 in Room 401 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. to raise awareness about sexual assault.
Students can write short stories, comedic acts, dance performances, or poetry about the issue. A sign-in sheet will be provided the day of the event.
Admission is free for all MDC students that bring their school ID; donations are appreciated.
MDC knows that their “students have a lot of talent and this is an outlet to express themselves” said Crystel Lewis the Student Life Director at the IAC.
