Highest Honor: President Barack Obama awarded Miami Dade College President Eduardo J. Padrón the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilain honor, during a ceremony in the White House on Nov. 22. Padrón was honored for his work in education. Upon his return to Miami, students, faculty and staff surprised him with a celebration on Nov. 23 at the Wolfson Campus.
