Slade House: Author David Mitchell, who was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by TIME magazine in 2007, presented his latest book titled Slade House at an exclusive author event hosted by Books & Books. The event took place on Nov. 5 at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus.

War Relics: A sword from professor Walter Kozloski’s great, great Grandfather Will Hull of Deep River, Connecticut from the American Civil War lays on a table of artifacts during a tribute to Veteran’s Day on Nov. 10 at North Campus. Also seen on the table are artifacts such as a union belt , where rifle and powder were held, a Civil War canteen, a U.S Navy insignia that belonged to Kozloski’s Grandfather (Francis Hamilton) who served in the Seabees during World War II. Also pictured are a bible and a wool coat belonging to Kozloski’s father, Walter B. Kozloski.
