Poetry For Peace Is Open For Submissions

The North Campus English and Communications Department is accepting submissions for their 6th annual poetry contest through Jan. 31. 

This year’s theme is “poetry for peace.”

Poems must be 300 characters or less. Non-english poems must be submitted with an english-language translation.

Winners will be announced in March through email. Prizes include $100 for first place, $75 for second place and $50 for third place. Winning poems will also be displayed on sidewalk decals around North Campus.

The contest is open to all current Miami Dade College students.
