Professor Hettich Receives Poetry Chapbook Award

Michael Hettich, a Wolfson Campus English professor was presented with the Swan Scythe Press Poetry Chapbook Award on July 10.

Swan Scythe Press is one of the largest publishing companies in the U.S. In order to enter the contest, all 165 contestants were required to submit 20 to 36 pages of poetry.

Hettich chose to enter a collection of main stream contemporary poems which he titled, The Measured Breathing.

He will  receive a monetary reward of $200 and have The Measured Breathing published, making it his 13th published piece.
