Reporter EIC Selected For The Chronicle of Higher Education’s 2019 Fall Reporting Workshop

Heidi Perez-Moreno, who currently serves as editor-in-chief of The Reporter, has been selected to participate in The Chronicle of Higher Education’s 2019 Fall Reporting Workshop.

The two-day workshop will take place in Washington, D.C. from Oct. 17-18.

Student journalists, selected from a national pool, will learn how to cover higher education and navigate public records alongside mentors at The Chronicle of Higher Education. Last year’s inaugural class included 12 students.

“I’m excited to work with other students and learn from journalists with so much experience in higher education,” Perez-Moreno said.

Perez-Moreno, 19, is a Wolfson Campus student in The Honors College studying journalism. In addition to serving as editor-in-chief, she serves as briefing editor and social media director for The Reporter.
