Scholarship Available For Migrant Students

The Arvin & Helen Maggard Migrant Scholarship is now open for Miami-Dade County residents who are also migrant students enrolled or accepted to Miami Dade College with at least a 2.5 grade point average.

Established in 1983 as the Arvin & Helen Maggard Scholarship Fund, it is now an endowment in the Miami Dade College scholarship foundation.

Participants must obtain a letter from the Migrant Education Office certifying they are in the Migrant Program.

Students must send their letters attached to the full application, postmarked no later than Feb. 3 to David Medina at the District Financial Aid Office located in Room 1127 at Kendall Campus, 11011 S.W. 104th St.
