Scholarship For LGBTQ+ Students Available Through June 26

The Aqua Scholarship Program is accepting applications until June 26 at 5 p.m.

Winners will receive a scholarship—the amount varies—that can be used to pay for tuition. They will also be paired with a mentor that they will meet regularly for individual meetings, group sessions and events.

Eligible students must be women who are part of the LGBTQ+ community or individuals who identify as transgender, intersex or nonbinary. They must also be pursuing a degree in an accredited college or university, have a GPA or at least 3.0, and be a resident of the Palm Beach, Broward or Miami-Dade counties.

Applicants must complete an application. They must also submit a resume, two letters of recommendation, school transcripts and financial need documents such as their FAFSA.

Selected students are expected to attend monthly meetings with their mentor, volunteer for 10 hours of community service, and participate in special events and community projects hosted by the Aqua Foundation For Women.
