Scholarship For North Campus Single Mothers Open Until Aug. 28

The Senator Carrie P. Meek Minority Women Scholarship is accepting applications until Aug. 28. 

The scholarship—a $1,000 prize—is available to minority students at North Campus who are single moms, and can demonstrate civic and community involvement. 

Students must complete an application, have at least a 2.5 GPA and submit a 250-word essay describing how they balance being a single mother with their community involvement.

Eligible applicants must be full-time MDC students and show financial need.

Reagan/Doral Senior High School in 2019, will serve as editor-in-chief, briefing editor and social media director for The Reporter during the 2020-2021 school year. She aspires to work at a public relations firm.
