SGA Appoints New College-Wide Board Of Trustees Representative

Arquimedes “Archie” Rivero, an international relations and economics student at Wolfson Campus, was appointed as the new Student Government Association Board of Trustees representative on May 10.

Rivero, who will serve as the SGA President at his campus during the 2023-24 academic year, will represent the student body at all eight Miami Dade College campuses during the monthly Board of Trustees meetings.

“I first want to express how honored I am to serve our college,” Rivero said. “I aim to continue working towards our college’s mission of uplifting students.”

The 18-year-old graduated from Doral Academy Preparatory School in 2022. He aspires to work as a diplomat for the United Nations Human Rights Council.

Juan S. Gomez, 21, is a psychology major in The Honors College at the Kendall Campus. Gomez, who graduated from Robert Morgan Educational Center in 2021, will serve as editor-in-chief, briefing editor and forum editor for The Reporter during the 2022-2023 school year. He aspires to become a social sciences professor.
