Sharks’ Morales Tabbed Southern Conference Coach Of The Year

Miami Dade College head baseball coach Adrian Morales was selected as the Southern Conference Coach of the Year.

This is the second straight year Morales has earned the honor. 

The Sharks finished this season with a 34-16-1 record including a 15-6 mark in conference play.

Morales started as the Sharks head coach during the 2019-20 season and has a 126-60-2 record in four years at MDC. 

He played at the College during the 2008 and 2009 seasons, earning First-Team Southern Conference and All-State honors while helping the Sharks win back-to-back conference championships.

Valiente, who graduated from City of Hialeah Educational Academy in 2022, will serve as managing editor for The Reporter during the 2024-25 school year. She was the paper's editor-in-chief last year and aspires to work as a journalist.
