Speculative Machine IV: Workshop For A Sustainable Culture

Miami Dade College’s Museum of Art and Design will present Speculative Machine IV: Workshop for A Sustainable Culture on April 6 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Freedom Tower, 600 Biscayne Blvd.

Beka Economopoulos, founding director of The National History Museum, and Jason Jones, co-founder and director of Not An Alternative, will discuss how Miami citizens can make positive contributions to the environment and the role art plays in climate change. There will also be a roundtable discussion led by climate change experts that attendees can partake in.

The lecture is the fourth installment of the Speculative Machine series, which explores economic, corrupt, and gentrified systems that impact Miami and its citizens.

The event is free and open to the public.
