The Liberty City Scholarship is accepting applications until May 31.
Winners will receive a $5,000 prize. The scholarship is available to students who reside in Liberty City and are enrolled in any degree-seeking program in medical, engineering or business related fields.
Applicants must have graduated from Miami Northwestern Senior High School, Miami Central Senior High School, Miami Jackson Senior High School or Miami Edison Senior High School.
Preference is given to students who are enrolled in 12 or more credits, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 or participate in community success programs like the Miami Children’s Initiative, Belafonte Tacolcy and Upward Bound.
