Haitian Boukan Club To Host Masquerade

Wolfson Campus’ Haitian Boukan Club will host a masquerade ball on March 10 from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. 2nd Ave., Room 2106.

The masquerade ball with the traditional dances, which takes place during carnival week, is a highlight of Haitian culture. It will also feature a game called Guess The Guest in which people have to guess who the person is behind the mask. The main goal of the club is to promote Haitian culture through music, dance and food.

“It’s our way of bonding,” said club president Eddyson Jerome. “Our way of seeing the other side of things.”

Admission for the event is $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

For more information, contact the club’s secretary Berne Aubourg at (305) 922-0321.
