MDC Students Awarded Frances Wolfson Art Scholarship

Five Miami Dade College students were awarded the Frances Wolfson Art Scholarship on April 2.

The winners are Erika Cantin, Alexey Benitez, Lorena Fernandez, Patricia Soler and Barbara Morales. Each student will receive $1,500 to cover books, tuition, fees and art supplies.

More than 200 Frances Wolfson Art Scholarships have been awarded to MDC and New World School of the Arts students.

The scholarship was created in 1964 by Frances Wolfson, who established the scholarship from her painting sales to aid student artists.
