School Supply Donations Being Collected For Migrant Camp Students

The Council for Exceptional Children at Miami Dade College is collecting donations for school supplies for migrant camp students in Homestead until Oct. 16 at InterAmerican Campus, 627 S.W. 27th Ave., and at Kendall Campus, 11011 S.W. 104th St.

The drop-off zone at IAC will be in Room 6021 and at Kendall Campus in Room 6219. Donations will be received on Mondays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

CEC will be collecting supplies such as writing utensils, books, glue, staplers, dry erase markers and hand sanitizer.

Donated supplies will be taken to the Title I Migrant Education Program Office in Homestead, where donations will be organized and sent to various schools.
