Sleep Installation At MOAD

Miami Dade College’s Museum of Art and Design will exhibit Navild and Sosa: Black Power Naps/Siestas Negras at Freedom Tower, 600 Biscayne Blvd., on Oct. 24 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The multi-sensory installation uses canopies, sound vibrations and embellished beds to emphasize the importance of sleep and leisure in the United States.

Navild Acosta and Fannie Sosa are visual artists that see sleep deprivation as destructive to a well-functioning society.

Attendees can register at www.eventbrite.com/e/navild-and-sosa-black-power-napssiestas-negras-tickets-73316093409

The event is free and open to the public.
