Miami New Times has selected Miami Dade College’s Tower Theater as the 2021 Best Art-House Cinema in Miami.
The theatre is located at 1508 S.W. 8th St. and features two auditoriums that have more than 350 seats. It initially opened in 1926 but was closed to the public in 1984. The City of Miami authorized Miami Dade College to reopen the theater in 2002.
General admission costs are $12.75 for adults, $10 for people older than 62, MDC staff, and members of the military and $8.25 for Tower members, MDC students and Miami Film Society members. Tickets can be purchased through the Tower Theater website or in person. Cash is not accepted.
