Turner Earns All-Southern Conference First-Team Honors

Miami Dade College sophomore forward Khalil Turner was named to the All-Southern Conference First-Team.

Turner averaged 14.2 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game for the Sharks this season. He was also selected All-Southern Conference last year when he averaged 12.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game at Palm Beach State College.

 Three other Sharks earned All-Southern Conference Second-Team honors. They were sophomore guard D’Monte Brown, who lead the team in scoring with a 16.2 per game average, freshman point guard Abdias “Speedy” Carcamo, who was hobbled by an Achilles injury most of the year but averaged 14 points, 3.8 assists and 3.4 rebounds in eight games and forward Dashaun Joseph, who averaged 11.1 points and 5.8 rebounds on the season.  

The Sharks finished the season with a 10-17 record.
