NWSA To Host Alumni Art Exhibition

New World School of the Arts, 25 N.E. 2nd St., is hosting a multimedia art exhibition—The Front Room—featuring work that sheds light on social justice and minority representation.

The showcase will include drawings, paintings and sculptures from NWSA alumni Loni Johnson, Vanta Black and Christiana Friday. They will be presented at the New World Art Gallery in Room 5101.

“We want to create an inclusive environment that fosters important conversations,” said NWSA Dean Gustavo Plascencia.

The exposition, available for viewing from Nov. 18 through Jan. 13, 2023, is free and open to the public, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
