The Miami Dade College athletic department is launching MDC Sports Buzz, a 10-15 minute series on YouTube. Their first episode is expected to air later this summer.
Episodes will feature behind the scene commentary, interviews with student athletes and coaches, and analyses of past and current seasons. The series will be uploaded monthly to the MDC Athletics YouTube channel.
Daniel Cristian Torres, who was tabbed as sports announcer for the athletic department last October, will serve as the show’s host. The program will be produced by the Kendall Campus media services department.
Torres, 24, is the founder of Plug Talk Sports, a YouTube podcast channel founded in 2018 that comments on South Florida sports teams. In 2021, he also served an eight-month stint as a sports commentator for Inter Miami CF.
