Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. Second Ave, will host the DowntownMiami Market & Movie night at the Kyriakides Plaza on Jan. 11 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The evening will begin with a performance by Guitars Over Guns, an instrumental and vocal music group, at 5 p.m.

Local vendors will be present selling art, crafts and treats. There will also be games and workshops, such as a Spanish class held by the Continuing Education Department from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and a dog fashion show from 6:30 to 7 p.m.

Pet registration begins at 5 p.m. The Miami-Dade County Animal Services Department will be present for people looking to adopt animals.

A screening of Slumdog Millionaire, the 2008 British drama, will conclude the night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The event, which is free and open to the community, aims to “support our students and bring people together to have a good time,” said Melissa Dynan, the business development manager for the College.
