The Miami Book Fair, in partnership with Sosyete Koukouy, a company dedicated to educating people about Haitian culture, is hosting the 10th annual Little Haiti Book Festival at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex, 212 N.E. 59th Terrace, on May 5 from 11 a.m.to 5 p.m.
Among the activities that will be featured: live music, Haitian folk dance performances, book distributions, arts and crafts, meditation, yoga and business and poetry workshops.
Panels will also be held to discuss the role of journalism in shaping the global perspective of Haiti and the impact of artificial intelligence on business and art.
“[Little Haiti Book Festival] celebrates the diverse and dynamic culture of Haiti and educates the broader community about the complexities and richness of Haitian traditions,” said M.J. Fièvre, the festival’s program coordinator, in an email to The Reporter.
The event is free and open to the community.
