Mark Cuban Foundation And MDC To Offer AI Bootcamp For Teens

The Mark Cuban Foundation is partnering with Miami Dade College for the third consecutive year to host a free artificial intelligence boot camp for teens on Nov. 2, Nov. 9 and Nov. 16.

It will be held in the Data Analytics Center at Kendall Campus, 11011 S.W. 104th St., from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Students will learn about AI, its ethical implications and how to use ChatGPT and build AI applications using Microsoft programs. A laptop, lunch and snacks will be provided.

“This innovative partnership with the Mark Cuban Foundation helps prepare and empower the next generation of tech professionals,” said College President Madeline Pumariega in a press release by MDC News. “By offering this bootcamp in Miami, MDC continues the lead in AI education and serve as the workforce engine for our community.”

To be eligible, students must be in 9-12 grade and fill out an application with short answer responses. No prerequisite courses or prior knowledge is required. Space is limited.

The application can be found at https://portal.markcubanai.org/apply. Deadline to apply is Sept. 30.
