Kendall Campus To Host 7th Annual Jazz Under The Stars Concert

Miami Dade College’s Kendall Campus, 11011 S.W. 104 St., is hosting its 7th annual “Jazz Under the Stars” concert, featuring Grammy-winning pianist Arturo O’Farrill, on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. in the Fred Shaw Plaza.

O’Farrill  will be headlining the show with his Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra, whose second album, Song for Chico, earned them a Grammy Award for Best Latin Jazz Album in 2009.

Other guest artists will include Cheito Quiñones, MDC professors Ed Calle, Timothy Brent, Jack Ciano, and Matthew Bonelli, MDC alumni Wendy Pedersen, and the MDC Studio Jazz Ensemble.

The event is free for all MDC students who provide an I.D; general admission is $15, and $10 for employees. Tickets are available for purchase at mdclivearts.org.
