Miami Film Festival Accepting Submissions

The Miami Film Festival is accepting entries for its 43rd season.

All submitted movies must have a world premiere no earlier than Jan. 1, 2025. Films that are in commercial circulation in the United States before April 20, 2026 are not eligible for the Festival. The regular deadline is Nov. 1.

Competition categories include the Marimbas Award, the Jordan Ressler First Feature Award, the Made in MIA Short Film Award and the Cinemaslam award, which is given to the best film by a Florida film student. The deadline for Cinemaslam is Jan. 1, 2026.

The non-competition category is Special Presentation. It is meant to highlight feature films, shorts or episodic content across all genres.

The festival, which runs from April 9 to April 19, will be held across several venues in Miami.
