First year students at Miami Dade College can apply for the Francisco Foundation Scholarship, created in honor of Rogelio “Francisco” Gonzalez Corzo.

Three students will be awarded $2,500 throughout the 2011-12 school year. All applicants must submit an essay, most recent transcript, current resume, and two letters of recommendation.

The winners will be announced in mid-January and will attend a small awards ceremony at the Wolfson Campus, where the Campus president or designee will be present.
