Sophomore Christian Alfonso, a mass communications and journalism major in the North Campus Honors College, will intern this summer with the public relations department of Apple at the company’s headquarters in California.
Alfonso, 19, said that he had always wanted to work for the communications team at Apple and decided to reach out. He will work on commercials and other marketing strategies for the company aimed for a specific Apple product such as iPhone, iPad and iMac, among others.
“With Apple being one of the best companies for technology and communications, I will gain more knowledge and skills toward my career goal,” Alfonso said. “They will teach me how to engage with the audience in order to make them want to continue being a fan of Apple. I hope to land an amazing Apple job with the public relations department after the internship is over.”
