ARCOS Program Motivates STEM Students

Students interested in pursuing different careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) can join the year long Accelerate, Retain, Complete with Opportunities and Support (ARCOS) program to take advantage of their academic advisement, Wolf Pack Mentoring Program and workshops that offer success strategies.

“The emphasis will be on improving pass rates for Intermediate Algebra, which is a key course for progression in STEM related fields,” said Monica Minchala, ARCOS director.

Early undergraduate research opportunities are also available for participants. They are held at Wolfson Campus and it’s open to all students. The five year grant funded program sponsored by the United States Department of Education focuses on improving the retention, progression and completion rates among low income students.
